..I'm having another catharsis..

My senior year of high school was a big deal for me. I wanted to have the best year (like everyone says it is). Well I didn't, it was probably one of the worst school years of my life. I lost a bunch of friends over something stupid and wasn't getting good grades. Once all of that happened I never thought that I was going to get into school. I applied to West Georgia anyways and after a while I got accepted. The letter from the college was a huge sigh relief and helped me get through the summer and started the school year off on a happy note!

This Music Video is a true work of art

This video of Britney Spears performing the song, "Womanizer" shows all the different ways that she can get to a man. She lays out naked in the beginning to show off her body and the place where she is laying is perfect with the dark background. Also when she is in the office and she changes hair colors and the different dance motions that she does are very prompt and artistic.

Art and Human Behavior is shown very well in this picture. It's so funny how this is laid out because it is totally true. Humans always take the easy way out of everything. The maize would have been very difficult to go through but instead a ladder leads to the top where you are free to pass right over it.

Art and Human Nature brings the human world and the environment together. In this picture the universe is the background and there are people placed in it just dancing around. I took this as the universe is our playground and we have all the space in the world to be free.

Alice in Wonderland
I believe this is a true work of art because of all the different creatures and dreams that she goes through throughout her nap in the field of daisies. The people that drew all the different backgrounds and colors must of had a very big imagination.

..I'm having a catharsis..

Back in January I got a call from my mom saying that she was leaving to go to Florida at 11:30 at night. I got really nervous and asked her why in the world she was doing that. She then told me that my grandmother was dying of colon cancer. My mom stayed with her for two weeks and her symptoms hadn't changed a bit. I got another call from my mom saying that she needed me to drive down and help her with my grandmother. The times that I spent with my mom watching her cry repeatedly and morn over my dying grandmother was too much to bare. We cared for her along with my 5 other aunts for two weeks watching her slowly evaporate into nothingness. She hadn't eaten for 19 days and couldn't even take in any water. Her speech had run down into not even being able to say a word. My grandmother passed away on January 26th in the afternoon while my mom and I were changing her clothes. It was a very tragic event for both of us. But the comfort we have is from God knowing that my grandmother is looking down on us from heaven.

This is me! I can't draw at all..so I created this masterpiece! A belt for my brown hair with a cute flower in it. Sunglasses for the eyes with a carrot nose. I did draw the mouth (it's bad). :)

** The Art of this Culture-- Aboriginal Art**

Conventional designs and symbols are an essential part of the long traditions in Aboriginal art. When applied to the body of a person taking part in a ceremony or the surface of an object, these have the power to transform the object to one with religious significance. Dots are one of the conventional symbols widely used and for many non-Aboriginal people these are what give Central and Western Desert art its distinctive character.

I love his work because of the country scene and the colors that he uses. I have always liked old time looking pictures and somewhat classical looking pictures. Also I LOVE horses and he paints a lot of horses.

~Dance~

Dance is a very unique way of showing feeling. I think dance is very artistic and cool to watch and look at, but I can't dance AT ALL!

** My right and left brain**

This is how my brain works, pretty simple. I have no math skills or anything along those lines but I love to draw and dance and things that "right" brained people do.

This painting was done by Van Dyck. He tells about his childhood lifestyle and how this picture entails only a microscopic bit of what his family went through. The dull colors are hinted in the sadness while on the other hand the little girl is holding a baby that is happy in her arms.

This picture by Matt Weber to me means that a lot of people are confused in the world and that there is only one right way. When really some ways that may seem right are really the wrong way.

..I love this piece of Architecture..

The Titanic.

This is one of my favorite pieces of architecture because it has such a big part in history. This ship carried thousands of rich, normal, and poor people hoping to reach land once they had left France but never made it that far. It is still around just not on land but in the water.

..On the Graffiti Beat..

This is the graffiti I chose! This is a picture of Junkman's Daughter. It is a really cool store where you can buy lots of funny presents for your friends(probably not your family though). I do think graffiti is art because it is anyones own creation.

I love pictures that are in black and white. They are all so different but have the same background look to them. I think black and white photos look great in any room and they match with most everything!

..Fashion as Art...

I love older fashion. I like a lot of earth tone colors I'm not a big fan of bright colors on me atleast. These are a few low key outfits that I thought were cool to see. The girl with the Polo outfit on is most likely what I like to wear everyday and be comfortable.

This artwork is done by my friend Kobe Brown. He went to my high school and has done many great drawings and paintings. He has an enormous amount of talent and is using it to get him into college.
