** The Art of this Culture-- Aboriginal Art**

Conventional designs and symbols are an essential part of the long traditions in Aboriginal art. When applied to the body of a person taking part in a ceremony or the surface of an object, these have the power to transform the object to one with religious significance. Dots are one of the conventional symbols widely used and for many non-Aboriginal people these are what give Central and Western Desert art its distinctive character.

Edgar Degas
I love his work because of the country scene and the colors that he uses. I have always liked old time looking pictures and somewhat classical looking pictures. Also I LOVE horses and he paints a lot of horses.

~Dance~

Dance is a very unique way of showing feeling. I think dance is very artistic and cool to watch and look at, but I can't dance AT ALL!

** My right and left brain**

This is how my brain works, pretty simple. I have no math skills or anything along those lines but I love to draw and dance and things that "right" brained people do.

This painting was done by Van Dyck. He tells about his childhood lifestyle and how this picture entails only a microscopic bit of what his family went through. The dull colors are hinted in the sadness while on the other hand the little girl is holding a baby that is happy in her arms.

This picture by Matt Weber to me means that a lot of people are confused in the world and that there is only one right way. When really some ways that may seem right are really the wrong way.
